Bio

Amanda Haddaway is the director of human resources and marketing for Folcomer Equipment Corporation, a large construction equipment dealership with offices throughout Maryland and Delaware. In this role, she is responsible for the strategic management and operations of recruiting, training, benefits, advertising and corporate compliance for the organization. The company did not have a dedicated human resources professional prior to 2005 and Ms. Haddaway was instrumental in creating a fully operational and structured HR program. She was responsible for the creation of the employee handbook and instituting several corporate-wide policies and procedures.

Prior to her position with Folcomer Equipment, Ms. Haddaway worked for SRA International, a Fortune 100 Best Company. She held various positions at SRA including college recruiting manager, corporate trainer and employee communications specialist.

Ms. Haddaway is a certified Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and FranklinCovey FOCUS instructor. Among other venues, she has spoken at national conferences for the Employment Management Association (EMA) and the International Quality and Productivity Center (IQPC). Ms. Haddaway has designed numerous training courses, including effective interviewing skills, performance management and leadership skills for managers. 

 

Ms. Haddaway completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at James Madison University in 1999. She majored in Speech Communication, with a concentration in public relations and a minor in political communication. She also holds a Master of Arts in Education (Educational Technology Leadership) from George Washington University. Ms. Haddaway is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and Frederick County SHRM. She is active in her community and regularly volunteers with the Downtown Frederick Partnership, a non-profit organization that promotes and enhances the vitality of downtown Frederick, Maryland.
